‘Nothing is safe in my hands!’ Erwin Wurm admits and has set himself the task of taking sculpture to its limits – and beyond. Knitted walls, ‘fattened’ sculptures, self-portraits as gherkins, or the staging of the world as a surreal state: Wurm celebrates confusion as a creative strategy. The present volume presents sculptures, photographs, wall pieces, knitted pictures, and large-scale installations, which take all expectations to the absurd.
